Heir to the family of Delves-Broughton , Isabella Blow is for many the epitome of English eccentricity. She developed close friendships with leading names in fashion, Philip Treacy for Alexander McQueen , Sheikh Majed, Ronnie Newhouse and Nadja Swarovski .
It is the one who discovered Sophie Dahl , sobbing in a corner of the aisle, Alexander McQueen , she bought the entire collection of graduation, Philip Treacy , to whom she entrusts the task of creating the hat of his holding wedding when she married Detmar Blow in 1988, Hussein Chalayan and Stella Tennant .
She was the assistant of Anna Wintour for the American edition of Vogue , and then Michael Roberts at Tatler in British Vogue , the Sunday Times before returning to the Tatler as fashion editor.
