In 1906, Ricardo Ramos instructed the architect Jaume Torres Grau construction of a new building of residential flats. Visionary, entrepreneur and politician chose the then sparsely populated square Lesseps, on top of Gracia, thinking that soon Barcelona would extend to those parts. Casas Ramos , as it was dubbed the construction, attending the Catalan modernist style , quite the taste of the time, with a frontispiece stone, wrought iron balconies with railings and ornaments inspired by nature.
