Food triggers an emotional response whether you eat-to-live, live-to-eat or are a food fetishist. In an open-ended investigation of culinary culture, Eating Experience Designer, Ido Garini (owner of Studio Appétit) has created a new way to present, prepare and serve food — atop porcelain pyramids and inside conical bowls. The porcelain dishes create an erotic pedestal for the ingredients while a table side mirror provides a narcissistic reflection of oneself feeding. The multi-disciplinary project of eating, serving and documenting food (through still-life photography) was created in collaboration with ceramicist Lenneke Wispelwey and displayed at Belgrade Design Week 2014.
